Let your dog off the lead safely behind the fence

A fenced dog park is the safe choice when your dog's recall is not fully reliable yet – for example with a puppy, an adolescent dog, a newly adopted dog or a dog with a strong hunting instinct. Behind the fence your dog can run free without the risk of running off, and you can practise recall at your own pace.

Are all dog parks fenced?

No – most of the Danish Nature Agency’s dog parks have no fence, while many municipal dog parks are fenced. Always check the individual dog park before you let your dog off the lead.

Can my dog be off the lead in the enclosure?

Yes, but you must still have full control of your dog – the fence does not take away your responsibility.
