About Jyske Skovhave

Jyske Skovhave is located 2 km south of Skørping in Rold Skov and is home to Denmark's first official dog park, inaugurated in 1970. The entire arboretum, covering around 14 hectares, is fenced, and over 150 types of trees and shrubs from large parts of the northern hemisphere grow here – including an American giant fir from 1896, towering over 43 metres at the westernmost path.

You enter through a Japanese-inspired gate, where there are tables and benches and a grill. Inside, there are several benches, a lake where your dog can swim, and during the summer months, a water point with drinking bowls. At the parking area, there is a dry toilet, and 600 metres of the paths have an accessible surface. The Danish Nature Agency Himmerland maintains the place with help from volunteers.

    Rigtig fint sted. Kæmpe store træer fra forskellige kontinenter. Gode stier til gåture. Borde-bænke-sæt fordelt i skoven. Stedet er lavet til hundeskov, så det hele er hegnet ind.

    Virkelig hyggelig hundeskov, gode stier og spændende informationer omkring de forskellige træer. Der er løse hunde i skoven, så hvis du ikke kan lide hunde er denne skov ikke for dig.

    Dette er simpelthen bare et fantastisk sted at gå tur med sin. Og uden sin hund for den skyld også. Omgivelserne er pæne og idylliske og der er virkelig noget at kigge på, mens vores kære hunde nyder at lege med hinanden. Et par timer kan man sagtens få til at gå, da området er pænt stort.
