In Stursbøl Plantation near Jels, you'll find Jels Hundeskov, which, with its approximately 57 hectares, is one of the largest. The forest has mixed vegetation, is fenced, and offers about 6.5 km of paths, of which nearly 3 km have a solid surface. The Danish Nature Agency (Naturstyrelsen) Wadden Sea manages it, and it is free to visit.

The entrance is from Klovtoftlundvej, and you can park your car at Klovtoftvej at the northern or southwestern end of the forest. There are tables and benches for a break along the way. Wildlife lives in the forest, so make sure your dog comes when called.

    Den er umuligt at gå i hvis du er gangbesværede, der er kun 1 sti på tværs af skoven og alene at komme hen til stien er besværlig. Men jeg kan anbefale man går en tur rundt om hundeskoven der er 1,77 km. Men det kræver din hund kan lystre, for man kan heller ikke lukke hunden ind i hundeskoven og en selv uden for, de kan IKKE gå langs hegner da det er krat på krat og mindre hunde kan komme under hegnet.

    Skøn skov og plantage Men den nye Hundeskov med indhegning er da noget af det værste, der er ødelagt rigtig meget pga af store maskiner ved opsætning af hegnet og der er ikke oprette stier og spor igen som der er blevet ødelagt.
