About Hampen Sø

Hampen Sø has a fenced dog park at the northwestern end of the lake, on the edge of Palsgård Forest. The Danish Nature Agency (Naturstyrelsen) Søhøjlandet manages it, and access is free. Puppies and smaller dogs have their own section, so they can play in peace.

You can park for free at Hampenbjergvej or at the area by route 13 west of the lake. If you fancy a longer walk, the path around Hampen Sø is about 5 km – here, dogs must be on a lead. Naturstyrelsen's hiking leaflet no. 99 covers the area.

    Dette fritgående område for de pelsede næser er meget fint, bortset fra at det var mennesker, der forgæves samlede afføringen op med plastik, men uansvarligt smed den i skoven!

    Vi elsker hampen sø og hundeskov. Relativt klapvognsvenlig og dejlig stor. Og selvfølgelig at der er toilet og stor parkering og en masse bænkesæt. Og så den fine badestrand hvis vejret er til det (og det synes hunden som regel det er) Det eneste der mangler for at stedet er helt suverænt skulle da være en shelter og bålplads 🌳☀️

    Jeg elsker Hampen hundeskov, skoven er delt op, så man kan gå med små hunde i den ene skov og store i den anden. Den er omgivet af den smukkeste natur og så er turen i hundeskoven under gode forhold med fine stier.

    Dejlig skov med mange slags, store træer, bænke rundt omkring (som nok er bedst i tørvejr) en lille adskilt afdeling for små/hvalpe(?) Og søen lige ved siden af, hvis man trænger til at komme i snor og gå en længere tur 😉
