About Tornby Klitplantage Hundeskov

Tornby Klitplantage Hundeskov near Hirtshals was established in 2015 and is a fenced dog park covering approximately 4.8 hectares with dense forest. The Danish Nature Agency (Naturstyrelsen) Vendsyssel manages the area. Your dog can run free as long as you can call it back to you, and within the fence, there are nearly 600 metres of paths.

You enter through a gate directly from Horsebækken P north of Rævskærvej, and parking is free. At the parking area, there is a toilet, water tap, and tables and benches, but no bin, so dog poo bags and other waste must be taken home.

If you fancy a longer walk in the plantation, your dog must be on a lead, and you can use the gate on the southern side, cross Rævskærvej and reach the path towards the beach, or the gate in the northwestern corner, which leads down to Horsebækken.

    Skoven og stierne er virkelig smukt anlagt. Der er masser af bænke og borde, perfekt til at mødes med venner, drikke kaffe og lade hundene løbe rundt i det indhegnede område. Da vi var der, var vi alene, og vores hund elskede det. Selvfølgelig var de mange forskellige dufte meget interessante, og området var fantastisk til at løbe og lege i. Det ser dog ud til, at ingen i Danmark rydder op efter deres hund. Desværre...

    Perfekt til at trække vejret ud før eller efter færgen. Hunde må gerne løbe frit rundt uden snor. Et meget stort, indhegnet skovområde. Super afslappet atmosfære. Der er rindende vand at drikke ved hytten ved parkeringspladsen.

    En rigtig god indhegnet skov til at lufte hundene i. Lågerne åbner indad, så hundene ikke kan åbne dem. Skoven er fuldstændig indhegnet. Derfor kan hunde med god hukommelse løbe og lege uden snor. Udenfor er der flere parkeringspladser, en toiletblok til os mennesker og en vandfontæne, hvor hundene kan slukke deres tørst gratis efter at have leget. Der er også skraldespande udenfor, hvor man kan smide sit affald ud....

    Rigtig dejlig hundeskov. Også egnet til små hunde. Gode parkeringforhold og adgang til fint toilet. Borde- og bænkesæt både indenfor og udenfor indhegningen.
