About Arresødal skov

Arresødal Skov offers a large off-leash area for dogs at the western end of the forest, between the town of Frederiksværk and Hillerødvejen. Classens Bakke, Norske Bakke, and the canal paths are included, and the Danish Nature Agency (Naturstyrelsen) North Zealand manages the approximately 28 hectares, almost all of which are forested.

There is no fence, so your dog should come when called. Nearly 7 km of paths provide long walks, and by the canal, your dog can go right down to the water. Some paths end at a busy road – keep your dog close there. Benches and tables are scattered throughout the forest, and parking is nearby.

    Parken og skoven er altid dejlig at færdes i. Den korte afstand til gangbroen gør at den er et must! (pas på i vinter halvåret, der er den ofte glat) ude for enden af broen, næsten ude i søen. Der finder man et overdækket "fugletårn"med udsigt direkte ud over søen. Der er masser af fugleliv, både stand og trækfugle kan ses året rundt. Der er bænke, så man kan nyde den medbragte kaffe.
